Apple Rose A la Mode
In the mood for a little 100 calorie sweet treat guilt free!? Indulge in this culinary art form of a edible Apple shaped rose topped with mouth watering Low Carb Ice Cream. All this for 83.5 calories, 5.4g carbs and 8g protein. The cuteness factor is off the charts as well, so certainly that means you will automatically become more attractive with each and every bite! Forget the fountain of youth, stick to nutrition for anti-aging! ;)
Ingredients for 4 Apple Rose Tarts with 1/4 cup Ice Cream each~
1 Quest Cinnamon Roll Protein Bar
3oz (about 1/2 Apple) Apple, thinly sliced
1 cup Low Carb Ice Cream, optional
Silpat Cupcake Liners
Microwave Quest Bar in parchment paper that has been folded in half that is about 4-5 inches after being folded. After done, roll melted Quest Bar in folded parchment paper to approximately 10 inches long and 3 inches wide, then make 3 long slices at the 3/4, 1.5, and 2.25 inch mark. So you should end up with four 10 inch strips that are 3/4 inch wide. Overlap each of the Apple slices with the tops peaking over the edge of each strip, then roll up carefully and set in Silpat Cupcake liners and set in Cupcake Tin. Repeat with the other 3. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cool and top each with a 1/4 cup Vanilla Ice Cream. Enjoy :)
