Protein Breakfast Base

Protein Breakfast Base

One of the biggest challenges in recovery from ultra-processed foods is finding meals that are simple, satisfying, and keep you full for hours. This high-protein breakfast base takes just minutes to make, can be prepped several days ahead, and lets you customize it with your favorite real food toppings. I usually make at least four at a time so breakfast is ready to grab and enjoy all week.

Protein Breakfast Base~Makes 1 serving (multiply as desired for meal prep)

Ingredients~

½ cup low-fat cottage cheese

½ cup Fage 0% Greek yogurt

½ scoop (about 2½ tablespoons) 100% whey protein powder

1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

Dash of cinnamon

Directions~

Blend the cottage cheese until smooth if you prefer a creamy texture.

Stir together the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, whey protein, ground flaxseed, and cinnamon until well combined.

Divide into containers if meal prepping.

Top with your favorite fresh fruit, nuts, or seeds.

The beauty of this recipe is that the base stays the same while the flavors can change every day. A breakfast packed with protein and real food can help keep your blood sugar steadier, reduce cravings, and make recovery from ultra-processed foods feel a whole lot easier. Simple meals like this remind us that nourishing our bodies doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to be consistent.  Find more recipes at Realfoodrecovery4u.com.
