BBQ Tempeh
I have been dipping my toe more and more into Vegan dishes. I tried Tempeh for the first time, and it has been a real game changer. Low in calories and carbs, yet high in protein and fiber, plus zero sodium. Plus I like the mild nutty flavor and texture. Follow along and see what I did to create a new #1 on my menu. Each of the two 4oz servings are only 250 calories, 15.7g carbs, 12.5g fiber, 3.2g net carbs, 23.8g protein and 10g fat. This was delightful on my salad, but feel free to use it as you please. Crumble up for tacos, use as a steak, or have on a sandwich. You are only limited by your imagination. :)
Ingredients for two servings~
8oz Organic 3 Grain Tempeh (I used Trader Joe's, sub with favorite)
1/4 cup G Hughes Sugar Free BBQ Sauce
Dash Everything Bagel Seasoning (I used Trader Joe's, sub with favorite)
Add 2 Tablespoons BBQ Sauce to foil lined pan the size of your Tempeh, set Tempeh on top of the BBQ Sauce, spread remaining Sauce on top, garnish with Bagel Seasoning, bake at 375 for 30 minutes. Remove, divide in half, serve as desired. I served mine diced on a bed of Romaine, with Avocado and low carb Tortilla Chips. Enjoy :)
