Paige's Famous Baked Beans

With Memorial Day right around the corner, I figured I would share a few of our tried and true family traditions for big gatherings!  My Baked Beans are a must anytime we get together, especially with the Hubs Grilled Burgers!  Everyone LOVES these and I will attempt to provide the nutritional stats~ Calories: Very High, Carbs: Too many to count, Protein: Not enough to make a difference .... How's that!?  The day you eat "the Beans" is not the day to count calories, just dance and enjoy  ;)

Ingredients~ ( I double this for larger crowds)
1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 large Onion
1 Tablespoon chopped Garlic
Dash Cayenne Pepper, Optional...but I like a little kick!
1-2 pounds Ground Chuck, depending on how "meaty" you want your Beans!
3 or 4 large cans Bush's Baked Beans
2 Tablespoons Mustard
1/2 cup Ketchup
1 small can Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup White Sugar
1 cup Dark Brown Sugar

Heat EVOO in large skillet and add diced onion, garlic and cayenne, saute' til golden brown.  Then add the Chuck and cook thoroughly, and drain off grease. Add Beans, Mustard, Ketchup, Tomato Sauce, White and Brown Sugars, stir and pour into greased 9 X 13 pan.  Bake at 350 for 1 hour.  If I have a large crowd, I double this and bake in large disposable aluminum pan ( cause who wants to worry about cleaning dishes if you have a "buncha" company)!  I promise this will be everyone's favorite dish and you will quickly become everyone's favorite person, and you will be receiving requests at every gathering from here on out for Paige's Famous Baked Beans!!!  Enjoy  ;)
