Sweet Savory Tofu Crumbles





     If you are a Tofu lover, this is definitely one to try, especially if you like that sweet savory combo.  This has almost a Teriyaki appeal, and I'm hear for it.  Each of the 4 servings are only 267 calories, 17.5g carbs, 4.3g fiber, 13.2g net carbs, 22.4g protein and 10.3g fat.  Add to baked Potatoes, Salads, Budha Bowls, or what ever your heart desires.  This works perfect as a meat substitute, and serves up a hearty portion of protein.  So much yum!

Ingredients for 4 servings~

2~14oz packages Extra Firm Tofu

6 Tablespoons Tomato Paste

1/4 cup Coconut Aminos

2 Tablespoons Nutritional Yeast

1 Tablespoon chopped Garlic

1 Tablespoon Paprika

1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

     Unwrap Tofu and lay on 2 paper towels, top with 2 paper towels and set a heavy lid on top to press for 20 minutes.  Meanwhile, mix remaining ingredients in mixing bowl, then use your hands to crumble the Tofu on top after draining, stir til Tofu is fully coated,  spread on parchment lined (optional) cookie sheet, bake at 425 for 20 minutes, stir and continue baking another 20 minutes, then broil 5 minutes, watching as to not burn.  Divide into 4 equal servings, and use as desired.  Enjoy  :)
