Happy Fathers Day
When it comes to love, we show our affection with food. Delight the palate and beckon the senses we say. We appreciate our Dads and want to shower him with gastronomic wonders on his special day, as well we should. But that doesn't mean plates filled with empty calories. Surprise Dad with healthy fun flavorful dishes that will excite the tummy and put a smile on his face. If you need a few suggestions, I am here to help! And, while you are at it, try to pick one favorite activity to do with Dad on his special day (his choice). After all, time is the greatest gift of all.

Black and White Cheesecake
If you hate what you are eating in your quest for health, you are doing something terribly wrong. Case in point, my Black and White Cheesecake. Each of these 12~2 inch slices are 194 calories, 5g net carbs, 15g protein and 10g fat. My goal is to make healthy food fun and nutritious. Dessert can be on your menu everyday, all things are possible if you want them bad enough...and I do...so I am. Follow me closely and see what I do, I never miss a day without dessert... and I'm a card carrying member of the clean plate club. No frowny face on this healthy eater!

1 cup Lakanto Monk Fruit~use code Paige20 for discount at checkout

Black Bean Salad
Hey mom, guess what, ...I made Black Beans from scratch, I soaked them overnight and everything. I'm such a big girl now. But seriously, this turned out GOOD! My friend, Jennifer, was telling me about her favorite Black Bean Salad and that inspired me to try out my own version. This perfect summer fare can be combined with pasta, meat, or just spoon to mouth. Create your own, additions and subtractions are allowed and encouraged...be your own dog. But, the only rule is to toss the can and soak the beans, it's a fun experiment that must be experienced! Cheers to summer salads!
