Apple Pie Turnover for Two
Apple Pie Turnovers are no longer a healthy no-no, now they are a yes-yes! Take a look at how I turn an American favorite into a luxury high protein low carb dream. No, I'm not being dramatic, just stating the facts! Each flavorful Turnover is only 229.5 calories, 11.4g net carbs and 22g proteins. Don't wait for Fourth of July or any other holiday, have one today and turn today into a special occasion! :)
Ingredients for two Turnovers~
1 teaspoon Cinnamon Roll Sweet Spreads
1/3 cup chopped Granny Smith Apples
1 Tablespoon Swerve Confectioners Erythritol
Dash Cinnamon
Dash Vanilla
2 Quest Apple Pie Protein Bars
2 Tablespoons Yoplait 100 calorie Apple Pie Greek Yogurt
Bob's Red Mill Diced Dried Apple Pieces, for garnish if desired
Heat Cinnamon Roll Sweet Spreads in skillet til melted, add Granny Snith Apple pieces til softened, sprinkle with Cinnamon and Confectioners Erythritol, then add Vanilla til simmers off, remove from heat and set aside. Microwave both unwrapped Quest Bars for 12-15 seconds, pat into a large square on a Silpat lined cookie sheet, divide Apple mixture evenly between dough squares, fold dough over and pinch edges closed. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes, remove and top with a Tablespoon of Yogurt on each Turnover and sprinkle with Bob's Red Mill Diced Dried Apple Pieces for garnish if desired. Enjoy :)
