DIY Almond Flour

If you enjoy spending 9-12 dollars a pound on Almond Flour, then ignore this post ... However, if you have just a couple minutes, you can make your own for a fraction of the cost and only make what you need to enjoy it fresh!  The other good news is that you can make it using a Magic Bullet and in about one minutes time. You can use blanched skinless almonds or regular almonds work too. I don't mind using the almonds with their skins and like the extra fiber. Some of the directions I found said you can grind a half cup at a time, but I found it better to grind about a fourth at a time.  The powder is more fine with less chunks of almond residual. A fourth cup of almonds yields about a half cup of flower.  So, basically all you do is dump a fourth cup of almonds in Magic Bullet and grind for less than a minute, stopping a couple times to shake the jar and loosen the powder.  Make sure to not over grind or you will come up with Almond Butter !!!  Enjoy  ;)
